A Miami woman was detained on Sunday during an armed robbery at Mercy Supermarket.
Arrest made in Miami Market Robbery:
According to the arrest report, on June 18, a clerk was cleaning the market at 6600 Biscayne Blvd. when Sheina Reyes, 36, knocked on the locked front door. According to the report, the clerk unlocked the door for her, and two masked burglars entered the business, pushing the clerk behind the counter. According to the arrest complaint, one burglar kept the clerk at gunpoint while the other stole cash from the register and lottery tickets from a rear room. According to the report, the thief held the clerk at gunpoint and pistol-whipped him several times on the head.

Authorities stated the burglars took the money and fled the establishment. According to the story, the clerk flagged down an onlooker, who contacted the police. The clerk also told police that the burglars had been in the store earlier that day but had not stolen anything, according to the report. Miami Fire Rescue carried the clerk to North Shore Hospital for treatment of a gash on the back of his head, where officers later interviewed him, according to authorities.

According to the arrest report, CCTV footage from the neighborhood shows Reyes walking to the store, followed by the two other thieves, who concealed in the darkness close to the door as Reyes knocked. According to authorities, more CCTV evidence shows Reyes walking to the store earlier that day in different clothes, followed by two masked and gloved individuals who enter the store while she does not. When the disguised individuals saw consumers inside, they hurriedly left without buying anything. According to the security tape, Reyes coordinated with the two unnamed persons to help them enter the store and commit the crime.
According to the report, police found from surveillance footage that the car engaged in the robbery was a gray 2006-2011 Honda Civic with a temporary tag, and a BOLO was issued to Miami Tactical Robbery teams for the vehicle. A detective observed a 2008 Honda Civic with a temporary tag driving northbound on Northwest 22nd Avenue and 50th Street on Sunday, and a record check revealed that the tag was not registered to the Civic, police said.
According to the complaint, police pulled over the car at Northwest 27th Avenue and 55th Terrace, and a record check revealed that it was not registered. The Civic was towed to Miami Auto Pound, and Reyes was charged with traffic infractions and sent to the Miami Police Robbery Office for further questioning, according to the report. Reyes admitted to the police, but her precise remark was deleted from the publicly available arrest report.
Reyes is facing four charges: one count of felony armed robbery with a firearm or dangerous weapon, one count of criminal burglary with assault or battery, one count of felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and one count of failing to register a vehicle. Reyes remained held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday without bond.
