On Monday, police captured a suspect in the June 13 shooting in north Toledo that killed one man and injured a teenager. A warrant has been issued for the second suspect.

North Toledo Fatal Shooting

According to a Toledo police press release, Marquise Brent, 27, was detained in connection with the shooting that killed 44-year-old Joshua Davis and injured a juvenile female. Brent was charged with murder. Police said they also issued a murder warrant for a second suspect, Ontrionis Armour, 23, who is not yet in jail.

Police were called to the junctions of Lake and Elm streets at 4:30 a.m. on June 13 after two persons were shot in a home. As both victims departed the residence, emergency crews were observed administering CPR. Both victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Davis later died from his injuries. Davis was shot twice in the torso, and the Lucas County Coroner’s Office determined his death was a homicide due to numerous gunshot wounds. The second victim was in critical condition on June 14. Her current status is unknown. Anyone with information about Armour is encouraged to phone or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. You can stay anonymous.
